Good!

I liked this, a good idea (yay Metal Storm!) and implemented well. It's not immediately obvious that you can use the mouse to do stuff...I didn't see that mentioned in the help, but it was mentioned in the in-game tutorial, but I guess it's okay. There were just two things that bothered me.

1) The controls change when gravity changes. If gravity is left, then suddenly left is jump. It's hard to wrap your mind around. We're much more used to playing games where the controls stay the same but the direction of play changes.

2) Why can't you change gravity in midair? That was one of the really cool features of Metal Storm.

Anyway, good job!

EggysGames responds:

If you changed in mid air you would be able to fly..

Pretty sweet!

I've never seen this type of puzzle before, a three-dimensional sliding block puzzle. I like two-dimensional ones, so I had fun with this. The program was very well done. I especially like how you generated the puzzle by sliding, so as not to get any impossible situations! There were only two minor issues I had: 1) It was hard sometimes to see the "in-between" colors to make sure you knew which piece went where. 2) The arrows seemed like they didn't always spin the cube the way I wnated. And you technically need another pair of arrows, for a third degree of freedom. But that was just a minor inconvenience more than anythign else. All in all, great job!

Pretty good, mostly

I liked this game, for the most part. I liked the old school Omega Race-ish graphics. The fact that everything left a sort of "aura" behind made for a really neat effect, and since the enemies were color-coded, they each had their own 'atmosphere' that they created. So, well done there.

However, I thought it was a little too easy. I played to 415,000-something, never lost a life, never used a bomb. Then I decided to quit because I was seeing the same stuff over and over again. The only part that was really hard was the indestrucible cyan balls. It did get a bit boring after a while. (And why did it take so long for me to see the groups-of-squares? They weren't even that hard.)

Incidentally, why did I only have 1 bomb? If I had tried my bomb out, then I wouldn't have had any bombs through all those levels. Seems kind of pointless.

Neat

Hey, it's like Umihara Kawase only easier. Good job. ;) Can't really think of anything that could be improved, it's all pretty polished...

Pretty fun

Surprisingly fun game. I got all the way up to Z but then there were only green letters, nothing that I could eat. That seems like a bug.

I agree with one of the other reviews; make the speed a bit faster and some way to change the music might be good. Also, if you're playing with the mouse control, the mouse cursor makes it hard to see what letter you are (just in case you need reminding). If you could fix these things it would be really awesome. ;)

Pretty good...

Well, everyone likes Minesweeper, I think. The one problem this game has (and it's one the original Minesweeper has, of course) is that your first few clicks are completely random. You have no way of knowing whether you're going to click a mine. I got to the fifth level or so and clicked a mine and there was really no way for me to prevent it...But now with your game I have to start all the way back at the beginning when that happens. It's kind of annoying, actually.

Benjaminsen responds:

Personally I find this very annoying as well and even wend so fare as to make sure the first time you click a tile you will never hit a mine!

Still the goal was to make a minesweeper game, true in gameplay to the original, so did not really have a choice for the game dynamics.

Pretty fun

I enjoyed this one...yeah, it *is* pretty similar to Tower of Goo and Bridge Builder (also known as Pontifex ;) ), but those are great games, so...My one real objection is that there really wasn't much to do...just make a high tower. You should make one that has levels that have different objectives, like trying to build a bridge over a chasm, or I don't know, building stuff in an existing skyscraper...Anyway, good job for what it was. ;)

VoidSkipper responds:

There will be different game modes in the sequel :P

Bridge Builder and Pontifex are the same thing?

Pretty awesome!

So the game itself was pretty simple. It took me a bit to get used to the color/place interface, but that's okay. It's just your basic fun Mastermind game.

But then you have the Mastermind himself ranting at you, and that just makes it totally awesome. The way you write and do the dialogue for this character, he's just so entertaining. I mean, the Mastermind movies are just this guy ranting on and on, and it's GREAT. It's totally what we want from this guy, just to hear him rant. (Do you do some sort of little voice distortion filter on his voice? It sounds like do you. Even if it's natural, though, it's completely perfect for his character.)

Unoriginal

Kinda boring, I mean, it isn't anything we haven't seen before, is it? I sat there and had the ball bounce 100 times, then wondered why I had bothered. I kept waiting for more balls, something about the instructions seemed to imply there would be more of them, but they never appeared. I looked at the high scores thing and I can't imagine someone sitting there for more than 600 bounces...

Psycho responds:

You're supposed to click to make more balls appear :/

Simple, but elegant and addictive!

I liked this game, it was innovative...Very simple, but in a good and elegant way. The one thing that the instructions didn't quite make clear...Once a ball is "finished" by letting go of the mouse or touching an existing ball, then it's permanent. The bouncy balls can't destroy the finished balls, they can only destroy ones you're growing on your mouse. (And maybe you could think of another term for "bouncy balls", like evil spheres? Less confusing. ;) )

I got a little frustrated when I was growing this really large ball only to have it popped right as I was letting go of the mouse. Still, I suppose that's part of what makes the gameplay interesting--How far do you push your luck?

Anyway, great job!
