Well, it's mostly executed well, although I got stuck at the point where you have to fall and curve under the platform you're on to get to the button. I tried it about 20 times and could never seem to fall to the right fast enough to avoid the spikes. Oh well.

Letmethink2 responds:

For that one you have to jump on the platform with the spring on and land next to it and then jump to the button

Apparently shooting depletes my shield? That's pointless, I should be able to shoot everything I want.

It's well done...but it's pretty difficult! The game usually ends very quickly the first few times, since there are so many things you have to figure out--if you go too slowly the wave kills you, crabs will block your path endlessly unless you jump them, sandcastles slow you down...I mean, it's not BAD that those things are in the game, but it's all unexpected, especially since you have to learn to deal with all that stuff before you even BEGIN to grapple (odd because the word "grapple" is, you know, in the game title...).

Whenever I start the game, it just shows me some office scene. No instructions or even controls.

I guess it's well executed, but the design has serious problems. First, it's WAY too fast to plan out where you need to go. Maybe if it were HALF the speed it is now, it would be playable. Second, when I fly along and see an obstacle coming up to hit me, I press...and nothing happens. Well, what usually happens is that my ship tries to grapple the thing coming right at me, so I just end up pulling myself toward it faster. The point is, if I see that I'm about to hit something, there's NOTHING I can do. Certainly not in the TINY space of time between when I see it and when I hit it. My best is apparently 15.

Others have mentioned how pointless this is, but I'd just like to reiterate that mixing up the answers makes it really annoying. What you hope is that the player can get into a state where they answer the questions quickly without being tripped up; but having to read the questions and figure out whether "negative" and "positive" have switched positions since last question really breaks up the flow.

Well, it's competently executed, for the most part. But let's see...I don't like having to read the description to get the controls (but at least they're specified, unlike SOME games); I found the gameplay sort of repetitive; the screen shake was really annoying--it made me feel tired just trying to watch the action; and on one level I got 4.5 coins...4.5? How did I get half a coin???

All right, a remake of Asteroids; if you're going to remake a simple, classic game, that's a good choice. However, 1) if your ship is a CD, in other words ROUND, it's a little hard to tell which way you're facing! and 2) what's with the giant window filled with code, less than half of which is actually used by the game???

It's pretty fun. You spend stuff, then you can close it and come back later. You're never waiting for something to happen.

...Until you hit one of the "you have to click molecules to level up". So you wait for molecules to appear. And wait. And wait. And wait. And then go do something more fun.

NewProject responds:

Really you can't wait 3-4 minutes in an idle game?
Btw, you can do anything else, missions are only a basic guide.

It's a good idea, but I had problems with the controls. I had trouble trying to push jump and a direction, for example, to get over something or climb up nails. I would have to tap the key lightly to jump up the nails. Also, I'd be next to a block and the character would seem to repeatedly jump as if trying to get up onto the block. It makes it difficult to get where you need to.
