You stole this from Jason Nelson.

heliopod responds:

I am Jason Nelson...see my other games here!

So...there's a guy standing in front of a bank. No instructions or even controls. And no 'hints', even though that box was checked.

Huh.

UGH. This game needs some serious balancing. Okay, I'm saving up for the Public Surveillance Act, so I do a bunch of Extortion operations; however, my Fear keeps going DOWN, which means I HAVE to keep buying Petty Crime...but each Petty Crime costs $100,000, and each Extortion only adds net $25,000. So I buy 5 Extortions for each Petty Crime and sloooooooowly get my money all the way up to $1,000,000, at about year 21 or so.

...and then I find out that in order to buy the higher money-making operation, I need $1,000,000. In fact I can't even buy another Extortion because I was in such a hurry to do SOMETHING in this stupid game that I only have $24,000 left. Wow, what a waste of half an hour.

It seems like you have at least the framework of a game here...But, how do I know which squares to click on? How do I avoid uranium? Is there any skill to it, or is it just chance?

Controls? Instructions?

jrbitt responds:

Sorry. I updated the description
Controls:
Just use the arrows (up,down,left,right)
Use ESC to finish the game

I can't figure out how the wormholes work. I place them in all sorts of places but nothing gets teleported or whatever. I guess this game really is too hard for me.

deathink responds:

Sorry my man, one should pull the cube in, and one should spit it out.

Technically this more of a Breakout than a Pong game.

IndoorOrnithology responds:

Yeah, I wasn't really sure which to describe it as, because "single player pong" and "breakout without blocks" both make almost no sense from a gameplay perspective. I eventually decided to compare it to pong because it seemed a bit more iconic, but you bring up a fair point.

You know, I wanted to like this, but it just takes...so...LONG. Like the bit where you have to keep looking at the castle, and it...scrolls...up...and...then...scrolls...down...and then when you "GO" you're in almost the same area, so you have to look at the castle again and it...scrolls...up...and...then...scrolls...down...and then you get into this area where you slowly...fall...down...and have to talk to various skulls, or maybe they aren't skulls, maybe it's all a dream but who really cares at this point, and then you get a bit farther and get sent back to slowly...fall...down...

Honestly, I wasted WAY too much time on this.

Pizzamakesgames responds:

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy yourself. You're right, it is slow. It's not an action game, just a simple little adventure. Hopefully I'll be able to bring a little more action into whatever comes next. Thank you for the input though!

It's a great idea, and mostly it's good, but it's basically impossible to control. I mean, you have to control your hands with keyboard AND mouse, and coordinate them to move a character who moves IN the game to press keys to move ANOTHER character...@_@ This is the kind of game you play for five minutes, go "Haha, interesting!" and then go on to something less frustrating.

It's very well done...but it quickly becomes impossible to see what's going on. And the controls are kind of, 'floaty' I guess...When you try to get a powerup you often overshoot, then you pull back and overcorrect, then you overshoot again, and you just end up circling around and around...
