This isn't a "match 3 Bejeweled" game, it's a "remove similar groups" game. It's a completely different mechanic. Also, "Bejeweled" is a trademark. Just saying.

games7510 responds:

Ok, thanks! I hope you like the game...but half star:(

It's an interesting idea, and it's very well executed. However...It turns out to be really difficult! I'm not sure how long I could even play it...

FateModified responds:

I agree. It is too difficult, and needs some more work. Thanks for the feedback.

It's okay...It's certainly playable, but it has some problems. Basically, I have no idea how long it's supposed to go. I've bought a bunch of levels of stuff, but when do I get to stop? Also, what do roots even do? The whole thing is just kind of vague.

Johnsanity responds:

Thank you for your feedback! It's definitely vague, and probably confusing. I was going for a feel of calm, a no rush game which requires a lot of patience. However, from what I've heard from you and many other people, I now realize that the game was asking for patience without giving back enough interesting stuff to maintain that patience. Also, Roots and Leaves combine to give you your energy value, they're equally important.

Well, it's playable. However, it seems to take a long time to get anywhere. I played for 5 minutes and I wasn't anywhere near the first item, whatever it was. I was expecting the larger orcs to give more progress, but their heads are the same size as everyone else's. What else...I got into a situation where the large orc was standing on a pile of heads and trying to attack me, just standing there and swinging its sword, but it couldn't reach me. Also, it's not really obvious that you can "level up" afterwards. Maybe make it even more obvious like "press this to use your experience"?

MatteoBevan responds:

Thank you for your opinion! The game is greatly improved from this version but Newgrounds put the publishing on hold for two weeks so some problem is already solved.
I'm publishing the new version more balanced in the combact, with orcs able to attack above, more intuitive button text (one with "here to improve your character" like you said).

Going on with the game you'll encounter bigger orcs making your escalation to the top easier and jumping orcs that you can kill mid air to go up.

It takes a really long time to get through the cutscenes, the enemies keep palette swapping to look like the player...I dunno, it just wasn't that fun.

dwomack734 responds:

I adressed the qualms that you had...check it out! You can now skip cutscenes by pressing C or Space and the palette swapping has been removed.

It's all right...the first person view makes it a little clumsy, though. And somehow the racing isn't that great; there's no feeling of acceleration, you just go at top speed or not at all. And finally, I thought I was doing fine and passing all the other racers, but I get to the last stretch and suddenly they're all in front of me—I finished 7th? That's dumb.

MariusVersteegen responds:

Ah ja.. the bikers may start in multiple groups. To make it challenging, your biker starts as last of the last group.

I've just uploaded a new version - with improved sounds, music, graphics and levels.
If you like, check it out, have fun!

I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing. There are doors...? There weren't really instructions, but I tried the arrow keys, only now I'm looking at some cutscene, I guess, and I don't know how to get out of it. The mouse cursor is hidden so I can't press the little "advance" thing in the bottom right, and pressing keys doesn't seem to do anything, so...I guess that's it.

Munguia responds:

Sorry for that, the cursor is back.

All right, first of all, are there controls or instructions? I'm guessing I click and drag stuff, but I'm not even sure I'm allowed to do that. Secondly, if you're going to have a "colossal cave adventure", where's the lamp, the brick building, the puzzles?

Guy-Unger responds:

Yeah sorry about the poor instructions, I could have implemented a very simple 3 step tutorial.
It was made for a jam with only 3 days time, would have loved to add more content like what you mentioned, but didn't manage to.
Would be awesome if you could PM me if you have idea's for puzzles!

Honestly there's a lot to like about this game, but there's so much more not to like.

Skudge responds:

Exactly.

It's all right, but once you forge a new weapon the enemies suddenly attack, so you have no chance to actually pick up your new weapon and use it!

Niborious7 responds:

Yeah, a lot of people were having this problem so I changed it to not start until you pick it up
