Controls? Instructions?

Well, first of all, I clicked to start the game, and since it said "1 player" I clicked again, but that apparently started a 2 player game. So, since there was obviously no way to go back to the main menu, I had to reload the page and sit through 20 seconds of ads...again. After that it was really hard to get the idea of what to do; I mean, the "instructions" say to hit the ball back by clicking, but I just couldn't do it. The computer got to 10 points against me before I realized I was clicking too late. After that it seemed somehow really easy. All in all, kind of a waste of time.

Thanks for the feedback. I added the [ESC] key to return to main menu.

It's kind of cool, but the control scheme is unusual. Usually I figure W up, A left, D right and S down...not W forward, S back, etc.. Also, I don't like that you have to keep clicking to shoot...so much clicking. Why not have the player shoot continually as long as you hold the mouse button down?

HartfordGames responds:

Thanks.
Yeah I realize now that the instructions are not clear for the unusual controls. The constant clicking is tiring...not sure how to deal with that yet. I will try your solution of holding the mouse button and see if that feels good or introduce breaks between the zombie waves.

Oh, RPS. Yay?

Evil-Dog responds:

Yup!

Robot Unicorn Attack is a "classic"? Really? Well, it was fun enough, until the 5th time you say "Wait, THAT killed me?"...

Haha, yeah, those are social groups are so WEIRD, amirite? It's so strange how they do things that are different from us, amirite? Bullying is fun, amirite?

On the plus side, I liked the retro-future vibe; the pixel graphics and 'vibrating text' seemed to add to that pretty well. On the negative, it's SO slow-paced. I felt like I was wandering around for half an hour before I started getting close to the point of the game. Not to mention that the story seems both obvious and outdated...I can buy that the kids are better at technology than the parents, but there's no emergency shutdown switch? No future version of Geek Squad who can look at the logs and say "Oh, someone's been running hard vore scenarios; we'll shut it down and I recommend you call a developmental psychologist"...?

But it was a good effort, even if I think it failed in a couple ways. ;)

It's always good to see more Cthulhuesque games; I liked the graphics and the gameplay was all right. However, it suffers from the same problem a lot of these games have, which is the inclusion of a "luck" stat. Obviously the most efficient thing to do is increase that stat as high as it can go FIRST, so that you get money as fast as possible. Unfortunately, that means you can't get any other upgrades; you have to grind the first level or two with your weak starting character until you get all the gold. It makes the game really boring.

Sure, the graphics are great, but it's too hard. I tried the wall jump level half a dozen times before deciding I had better things to do with my time.

The one on the right side of level 1 wouldn't get circled no matter how many times I clicked it.
