Incredible!
Man, this was incredible. Having grown up watching those same cartoons, you absolutely nailed it--I saw references to Scooby Doo, Captain Planet, Jem, possibly even He-Man, huh? Awesome. And the way you stuffed in all the subtle references to the comic book is really amazing; it's like the Watchmen story has this power that pokes out from behind the "cartoonishness" you painted over it. I think, for those of us who know the Watchmen story, it's quite respectful in its own satirical way. (My personal favorite bit was the three Doc Manhattans in bed!)
Oh, and your animation skills are absolutely amazing. Keep up the good work. ;)
Excellent!
Awesome! My favorite bit was the "second try" where Mega Man started doing all the crazy jumps and flips, while still being 8-bit sprites. I thought the later bits were kind of boring, with all the DBZ-ish stuff. Still, an excellent effort in all. ;)
Okay
The drawing wasn't that great, but the "plot" made me laugh. Keep trying. ;)
Interesting contrast?
Obviously, there wasn't much to it...However, I found it intriguing that it seemed to be showing some people (or maybe some "beings") partying inside a sort of box vehicle that was going through a very drab and forbidding landscape. The contrast was interesting. Hm.
Sure, there isn't much to it, but there really doesn't need to be. Imagine you seeing something like that driving past you in real life!
Okay
It was okay, but it seemed kind of short. For some reason I was expecting the story to go on longer than just one or two "smokes". Also, it's a little annoying to see the graphics saved as a low-quality (but still large) movie file; maybe you should try making the graphics in Flash so you can take advantage of the vector graphics capabilities. Still, it was entertaining and the graphics were good, so all in all it was a good effort.
Thanks for the feedback,
I would have loved to make it all in flash to avoid the low-quality swf, however flash doesnt edit video and it was much easier to edit, tweak and compile in Final Cut.
and to clarify there were 4 joints not 2 in the show. Puff Puff Pass yo
Awesome! (so to speak)
Dude, your writing and voiceacting are really getting to be top-notch. I had tears from my eyes in this one! I love how the dialogue actually sounds like people talking, it doesn't sound like a "script", and yet it has great comedic timing. The animation was okay (certainly better than I could do), and I liked the weird little touches like the guy's eye falling off. Keep up the good work! :D
Fun!
Heheh, good animation and I liked all the little references. Like the marshmallow, and the Thriller zombies...and was one of the guys on the dance floor doing a Peanuts dance? Awesome!
Postmodern
Ahhhh, that brings back such memories...I never even realized how bizarre that commercial was back when I actually saw it on TV.
The animation was kind of primitive, though, you know? :P
The middle was. But the finger moving the glasses up and down. Thats tough work
