Okay animation

It's okay, I liked the animation and stuff...However, I can't figure out why it's "interactive". The "interactivity" is just clicking once it stops...as far as I can tell there aren't any choices. It would have been better as just a movie.

DUNK5TA responds:

For our class project the "Interactive" concept just meant "have buttons". But yeah i should of just gone with simple skip buttons at the bottom and probs added a narration over the top to make it have a purpose (as in when the narrator finishes talking click next sorta thing)

Interesting

Cool, this reminds me of a project I did in high school. However, I don't think it's quite right for Newgrounds. Not only that, it's not really interactive and it's hard to tell what's going on...

Ty2K responds:

Now, That screen idea, is seeming really good xD Guess I should have added a bit more help, huh?

Broken

I'm always up for hacking games, but it seems to be broken. There's a login prompt, but I have no idea what the login is. I didn't see it on the loading screen and it's not listed in the NG description.

spectre1989 responds:

Eep, at the login screen all you do is enter your name and click login, it's just a fancy way of asking the players name. Sorry it wasn't very clear!

Sort of okay

This isn't a game, is it? Also, you lost points for Comic Sans. Nobody serious uses that font.

Renandchi2 responds:

Tutorials are games. And I can usevthe fonts I like

Too hard

I was enjoying the neat animation and artwork...but then these invincible "Shooters" showed up and filled the screen with rockets! I couldn't do anything to stop them. And you call this "Normal"?

wilsonbb responds:

evolve to higher level monsters!

Buggy

It was sort of okay, but...the pumpkin moved slowly, it was kind of tedious rolling it all the way around the levels. Plus, I noticed that if you got too many...spinning things (what WERE those things that made you smaller?)...If you got too many of those things, you'd vanish, and then you'd start getting LARGER! Odd.

flamdod responds:

The further away the mouse is to the pumpkin the faster you go.
I though I got the I fixed that glitch o well.
The spiny thing are magical orb things, (I'm not to shore my self).

Pretty fun

This is clever. It's not often I see a really new puzzle type. For some reason I didn't find it that difficult...I got up to level 27 and then just sort of stopped, 'cause I had other things to do. But good job.

Evil-Dog responds:

There are 100 levels, believe me it'S HARD haha

Okay

It's okay. I mean, the drawings were reasonably cute, there was a fair variety of stuff, no coding bugs or other problems. But, there have been so many dressups...I feel like to get a high score a dressup should either have some really amazing new feature, or it should have some character you really, really want to play with. And, this didn't have either one. Sorry.

But hey, for your first Flash it was definitely good. ;)

distel responds:

I'm rather proud of myself.

Amusing

Heheh, you made Maxwell's Demon into a Flash game. Clever. ;) The sexy graphics didn't really hurt either. Usually I'm kind of annoyed when people make games with pictures they just found on the net, but I suppose I can let it slide this time.

mastifgames responds:

What is Maxwell demon ? My team draw these pictures, i got black and white drawing version on paper for them, so i am really surprise about what you say, can you tell me what you are talking about ?

Falls short

You obviously put a lot of work into it, but I ended up not liking it. The bit about the screen shaking and the paddle getting pushed downward...it was an interesting effect, but it made it feel like the game was a STRUGGLE. Like you were struggling to hang on and keep pounding this ball upward. I ended up feeling exhausted after playing. That's not really how I want to feel after playing a cute little Flash game.

The other thing is that the ball's direction seemed completely random. On the fourth level I got stuck, the ball would just go in the same path into an empty corner and then down, almost straight up and down. The path never changed. I stopped touching any keys and it looked like it would go on forever. I suppose I could have let the ball fall so as to reset the level, but I was bored at that point. So, you might want to look into that bug.

OneSexyPaperBag responds:

I'm sorry you didn't like it. I always thought of the cuteness and the fact that you had to struggle made it cuter.

I admit the physics are a little odd, this game started out as an experiment and I never really got it perfect (hence why I gave up on it originally). I'm not really sure how to improve it at this point though (I'd basically have to overhaul the whole game) and everyone else seems to be handling it.

Thanks for the review though. The physics thing I've already gotten a lot better at. But I'll keep in mind your suggestions for the cuteness of the game when I work on future projects.
