Including instructions in your game is like using a turn signal. It's easy, it helps everyone out, yet many people just don't do it.

Well it doesn't help EVERYONE out. Unless the tutorial is fully interactive, fast, and fun, I always skip it.
But it's still good to have instructions available in case the game turns out to be overly confusing.
